Sarcopenia

Muscle loss quietly drives fatigue, frailty, and metabolic decline. NorthStar measures muscle and reverses what can be reversed with targeted training and nutrition.

What it is

Sarcopenia is the progressive loss of muscle mass and strength. Because muscle drives metabolism, energy, and independence, losing it quietly affects nearly everything about how you feel and age.

Who benefits

Adults noticing reduced strength or stamina, people losing weight (where muscle can be lost alongside fat), and anyone focused on aging well and avoiding frailty.

Why it matters

Muscle is metabolically protective — it supports insulin sensitivity, energy, and resilience. Quiet muscle loss accelerates aging and metabolic disease, yet it's rarely measured until it's advanced.

How NorthStar approaches this differently

Measure first. Treat the cause.

We measure muscle directly with DEXA rather than assume, then prescribe the resistance training and protein strategy that rebuild it — and we re-test to confirm muscle is returning.

Understand what is limiting you.
