Patient Question

What is actually limiting me?

Weight, fatigue, declining fitness, feeling older — these are different symptoms of the same underlying question: what is limiting you right now, and what should you do about it? Rather than treat each complaint in isolation, NorthStar is built to find the one factor doing the most damage.

Most plans address symptoms, not limiters

A diet treats the scale. A stimulant treats fatigue. But if the real limiter is insulin resistance, lost muscle, or low fitness, those fixes don't last. Finding the limiting factor is what turns scattered effort into durable change.

How we find it

We build an objective picture from a few high-value measurements — metabolic rate, body composition, cardiorespiratory fitness, and metabolic markers — then weigh them against your history and goals to name the single biggest limiter.

Then we act on one thing first

You leave with a clear answer and a focused plan: the most important change to make now, the reasoning behind it, and how we'll know it's working. Care continues through longitudinal follow-up as the limiter shifts over time.

The NorthStar approach

How NorthStar answers the question

This is the question every part of the clinic is organized around. Instead of a service menu, you get a diagnosis of your limiting factor and a single clear next step — the way an experienced physician would think it through.

Common questions

Frequently asked

What if I have more than one problem?
Most people do. We still identify which one is limiting you most right now, because addressing it first usually improves the others — then we reassess.
Do I need every test?
No. We choose the smallest set of measurements that will actually change your plan. Every test has to earn its place.
What will I leave with?
A clear statement of what's limiting you, the single most important next step, and the reasoning behind it — plus a way to measure whether it's working.
