What it is
Obesity medicine is the medical specialty devoted to understanding and treating obesity as a chronic, biologically regulated condition — not a failure of discipline. It combines physiology, nutrition, behavior, and, when appropriate, medication.
Who benefits
Anyone who has struggled with weight despite real effort, regained weight after dieting, or wants a medical rather than commercial approach. It's especially valuable when weight affects energy, joints, blood sugar, or sleep.
Why it matters
Obesity raises the risk of dozens of conditions, but it's also highly treatable when approached medically. Treating the underlying regulation — appetite, metabolism, insulin — works where willpower-based programs repeatedly fail.
Measure first. Treat the cause.
We start by measuring what's actually happening — metabolic rate, body composition, and metabolic markers — then identify your limiting factor and treat the cause. Medication is one tool among several, used deliberately, never as a default.
One interconnected picture
Understand what is limiting you.
