Weight Loss & Metabolic Health

Comprehensive obesity and metabolic care focused on identifying the physiologic drivers of weight gain and building durable treatment strategies.

Overview

A Physiology-First Approach to Weight

Weight loss is not simply a matter of willpower. It is shaped by metabolic rate, hormonal signaling, body composition, physical function, and a range of interconnected physiologic factors. When these drivers are not identified, treatment often becomes trial-and-error — and results are frequently disappointing.

Our approach begins with measurement. We assess resting metabolic rate directly using indirect calorimetry, evaluate body composition at the tissue level with DEXA, screen for liver fat and fibrosis using FibroScan, and obtain a detailed metabolic and hormonal laboratory panel. When indicated, we include cardiopulmonary exercise testing to understand functional capacity and exercise response.

The result is not a stack of disconnected test results. It is a synthesized evaluation with clear context and practical recommendations. We use this information to build treatment plans that are specific to each patient — whether that involves nutritional strategy, pharmacotherapy, behavioral support, or coordination with surgical teams for bariatric evaluation.

Ready for a Different Approach?

If previous weight loss efforts have not produced lasting results, a more thorough evaluation may reveal the reasons why — and open the door to more effective treatment.
