Fatigue & Performance Medicine

Systematic evaluation of low energy, reduced stamina, and exercise intolerance using objective physiologic testing to identify the actual limitation.

Overview

Finding the Source of Low Energy

Fatigue is one of the most common — and most poorly understood — complaints in medicine. When routine labs come back normal, patients are often left without answers. But "normal labs" does not mean normal physiology.

Our approach uses objective testing to identify where the limitation actually lies. Cardiopulmonary exercise testing reveals whether fatigue is driven by cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic, or deconditioning-related factors. Indirect calorimetry measures whether resting metabolic rate is suppressed. Body composition analysis shows whether muscle loss or excess fat mass may be contributing. And detailed labs evaluate hormonal, thyroid, and metabolic function beyond the basics.

We synthesize these results into a clear explanation of what is limiting energy and function — and a treatment plan designed to address those specific findings.

Evaluation

What's Included

Comprehensive medical history and symptom characterization
Cardiopulmonary exercise testing with full physician interpretation
Resting metabolic rate measurement via indirect calorimetry
DEXA body composition analysis
Detailed laboratory evaluation including thyroid, hormonal, and metabolic markers
Assessment of sleep, recovery, and lifestyle factors
Ideal For

Who Benefits Most

Persistent fatigue despite normal routine labs
Exercise intolerance or reduced stamina
Unexplained decline in physical performance
Post-viral or post-COVID fatigue syndromes
Fatigue associated with weight changes
Low energy affecting quality of life

Stop Guessing. Start Measuring.

If fatigue has been limiting your quality of life and standard evaluations have not provided answers, a deeper physiologic assessment may reveal what has been missed.
